All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has devised a revised fee structure for the engineering and technical colleges. The fee structure along with the minimum fee limit has been sent to the Ministry of Education. An expert committee had first recommended an upper limit fee that the institutes can charge as tuition fee. The new directives will now also introduce lower limit, or minimum fees. The committee has proposed that in case of undergraduate engineering disciplines, the annual minimum fee cannot be below Rs 79,000 while the maximum has been capped at Rs 1.89 Lacs. In its previous report, submitted in April 2015, the committee had suggested that the maximum fee for UG four-year engineering courses be fixed at Rs 1.44 Lacs to Rs 1.58 Lacs per annum. For post-graduate engineering programmes, the maximum and minimum fee have been proposed at Rs 3.03 Lacs and Rs 1.41 Lacs respectively.

Basically, there is no concession available based on VITEEE rank. Only state toppers are provided with full fee waiver. And also VIT has a scheme called STAR Students only for Tamil Nadu students. Two toppers (1 boy, 1 girl) from each district of Tamil Nadu are directly admitted into VIT with fee waiver. According to the rank secured, you will fall into different categories of fees. Later, a scholarship scheme is available only for economically weaker students. For this you will have to qualify the following conditions:
1) Student should be meritorious and should have scored good GPA continuously.
2) Family income should be less than 1.5 lacs. You will have to provide required documents like income Certificate etc. whas to be approved by the faculty coordinator, programme Chair and Dean. Then it will be forwarded for further scrutiny.
3) I do not know how many students have received this scholarship.

VITEEE syllabus is based entirely on syllabi of Physics Chemistry and Mathematics of Class 11th and 12th.
