But, Vellore is the top most institute compared to NITs. It has a very good record but it is a private university so it has a very high fee structure. Hope this got cleared up. Good luck!

The admissions at VIT is purely based on the ranks secured in the VITEEE examination. So, if you haven't given it, then I don't think you could get admission.
The seats are already filled in all the categories.
So, you may contact the admin if you want but you cannot get admission right now.

When it comes between VIT and SRM, VIT would be better than SRM University.
So you need to prefer VIT-Vellore to SRM University. VIT has better rankings and offers better education. It is known for its placements so you can prefer VIT Vellore for mechanical engineering.
