Animation course is one of the most popular ones among students who have cleared their 10+2 exams. According to me VFX education isn't that great in India this is simply because of the lack of infrastructure, proper course structure, dedicated faculties, However this is changing.

Sketching is an added advantage for all the people in creative field but definitely its not mandatory. If you know it, its very useful. You have an option to learn it, but as I said, its not mandatory.

You can learn game designing and VFX even now. Just search for a good institute that teaches these and spare some time for your interests. Also engineering cannot stop the artist in you. Just keep painting bro.
