Not at all. Doing Bachelor degree is not necessary because you already have technical degree and to learn VFX you can pursue diploma or master degree from some good institute like-NID, CEED, DSK, SYMBIOSIS, or MAAC. 1-2 year course is enough to learn VFX and rest lies on your hard work and creativity.

Arena was once considered as a good institute for pursuing animation courses. But with time it has lost its reputation and animation skills, the faculty is also not well versed in the subjects.
Rather I would suggest you to go for MAAC as it offers good fundamental knowledge to the students and even secures some real time projects from filmmakers and let their students work on some of the projects.

VFX is considered as the best skilled based program and offers good career opportunities. A VFX professional plays a very crucial role in film, television, advertisement, print etc.
The increased number of studios in India now along with the increased collaborations among them has made this industry a breeding ground for VFX artists.

There are many colleges and institutions for Animation in India. If you want to really choose right place for this filed focus on just few things. These things are Mentors (Faculties), Course content, Career Opportunities (Placement), Environment and Equipment's (Labs). Only these things can make a brand and in India there are just few brand institutes who provide a quality education in Animation field. My preference for you is just go with MAAC. I have mention some reasons for join MAAC.
1. India's Leading Brand in 2D, 3D and VFX.
2. Conducts personality development training.
3. Provides equipment like DSLR Camera, HD Video Camera, Chrom
