For getting UK Skilled Worker visa, you must have a job that pays a minimum of £41,700 per year or standard salary for that job - whichever is higher. However some jobs have low salary requirements like healthcare workers, PhDs or workers under 26. These people might get qualified with salaries as low as £25,000.

PTE score of 50 is accepted for student visas especially in Australia & Canada. These scores meet the English requirement for studying abroad. You may need higher scores for better universities, work visas or for getting a PR.

When I was applying for studies abroad, I remember being confused by a similar question — IELTS vs TOEFL vs others — because everyone had a different opinion and most advice was very generic. Over time I realised the problem wasn't the test itself, but the lack of clarity on what actually fit my situation.
I ran into the same issue later with health insurance. Policies looked fine on paper, just like test score requirements do, but the real strength only shows when you look deeper. To be honest, using MOI (Medium of Instruction) is a little bit risky. Your university might give you admission without IELTS, but the Visa Officer has the power to reject you if they feel you are not serious. If you have time, it is always safer to give a test and get a score. It makes your visa profile strong.

Yes, nowadays many US universities accept Duolingo English Test (DET) for admission because it is cheap and fast. If the university accepts it and sends your I-20 Form, you can apply for visa. But remember, for visa interview, some strict officers still trust IELTS or TOEFL more.

Students would need to have INR 12.6 L in their blocked account to be eligible for a student visa in Germany. This is needed to prove you have enough money to fund your studies in Germany. The application fees for a German student visa is INR 8 K. Health Insurance is also mandatory in Germany. For that, INR 10.6 K-INR 15.9 K are needed.

No, IELTS is not mandatory for the visa if your university accepts you without it. The Visa Officer only checks your CAS Letter. If your university writes on the CAS that they have checked your English already, then the embassy will not ask for any IELTS score. You can get the UK Student Visa easily without the exam.
