Yes, for example, USA requires a J-1 visa for interns. UK requires a Tier 5 (Government Authorised Exchange) visa. Always check the specific visa regulations of the country you are applying to.

To be honest, using MOI (Medium of Instruction) is a little bit risky. Your university might give you admission without IELTS, but the Visa Officer has the power to reject you if they feel you are not serious. If you have time, it is always safer to give a test and get a score. It makes your visa profile strong.

Yes, nowadays many US universities accept Duolingo English Test (DET) for admission because it is cheap and fast. If the university accepts it and sends your I-20 Form, you can apply for visa. But remember, for visa interview, some strict officers still trust IELTS or TOEFL more.

Students would need to have INR 12.6 L in their blocked account to be eligible for a student visa in Germany.  This is needed to prove you have enough money to fund your studies in Germany. The application fees for a German student visa is INR 8 K. Health Insurance is also mandatory in Germany. For that, INR 10.6 K-INR 15.9 K are needed.

No, IELTS is not mandatory for the visa if your university accepts you without it. The Visa Officer only checks your CAS Letter. If your university writes on the CAS that they have checked your English already, then the embassy will not ask for any IELTS score. You can get the UK Student Visa easily without the exam.

Yes taking German Visa without IELTS is possible. If the university accepts your MOI and gives you an admission letter, the embassy usually accepts it too. The altenatives of IELTS English test is also a path. But you must check the specific Germany student visa requirements for your country carefully.
