It is always better to have 12 months bank statement. But students can submit six to nine months statements as well. It is always better to maintain a balance from previous year to avoid rejections.

The bank statement for US student visa should include sufficient funding for international students for one year of study and living. For those who prove this funding are usually granted their US student visa unless their are any other discrepancies. Applicants should also mention about their sponsors, and how and when they will help the applicant with funding. This is mandatory for applicants as this is one major aspect of getting a US student visa.

There is no set amount declared by US government for international students. But it is recommended to have minimum USD 18,000 in one's accounts. This assures US Immigration that the applicants can afford two years of study.

Germany, Ireland and UAE have the easiest student visa process. Their approval rates are also on the higher side. Apart from these countries, student visa process is also easier for Italy and the Netherlands. Other top destinations like US, UK, Australia and New Zealand have become tougher with student visa approvals. They have introduced tougher scrutiny for student visa applications from India specifically.

As an Indian student planning to go for the Fall semester, you should try and request the I-20 form by March to early April to allow the F-1 visa processing

The visa appointment wait times are longer in India, so it may take 2 to 4 months to get an appointment for the visa interview.

Aiming to book the appointment by April or May keeps the student application on track.

Yes, you must prove your knowledge of English to at least level B1 on the CEFR scale to get a Skilled Worker Visa UK. The most common way to do this is - by taking any Secure English Language Test (SELT) such as - IELTS for UKVI or PTE Academic UKVI.

Indian students studying in the UK, who are going to transition from having a student visa to either a Graduate Visa or Skilled Worker Visa in UK are generally not required to prove their proficiency again. The idea is - if you have been living or studying in the UK since last 12 months then you need not to prove fluency in English.

UK Graduate Route visa allow you to stay and work in UK after completing your degree-

  • After UG or PG degree- 2 years of post study work.
  • After a PhD: 3 years of post-study work.

During this period, you can work in any role — full-time, part-time, freelance — in any sector. There is no minimum salary requirement on the Graduate Route. After 2 years, you can apply to switch to a Skilled Worker visa if you receive a qualifying job offer.

Note- The Graduate Route is open-ended — you can explore jobs, change employers, and work in any field without restrictions.
