Yes, you cannot get a seat for ECE in regular counselling, if you try from management side then you can get a seat in Vellore campus under category 5.

There is no entrance exam for Integrated M.Tech course. You have to visit the official VIT website and fill in the application form with your 12th marks, both online and offline modes are available. After filling the application just wait for your counselling date to be informed by VIT. There are chances that you might get a seat.

It is a newly opened college which is opened last year only. So, it has no ranking till now.

The VITEEE exams will be conducted in the second week of April. The exams are already over and counselling is going on at present.
You can apply for VITEEE 2020 where the applications will be available from January 2020. If you get good rank then you can get a seat in any of the campus and in any branch based on your rank.

Students whose rank is more than 1,00,000 are not eligible to take admission in any of the campus except Bhopal. If you want there are chances that you might get admission in VIT, Bhopal in category 5.

VIT is the top private engineering college which is ranked No 1 by Indian Government. To get admission in VIT you need to appear for VITEEE and upon good rank you can choose branch you want to join.

Mostly the sets will be filled by 60k to 65k rank. If you try from management side you can get admission in CSE under category 5.

You have to go to any of the VIT's campuses that is near your locality to attend the counselling. Your counselling date will be mailed to you by VIT.

He cannot get admission in VIT-Vellore campus as students should have less than 1,00,000 rank to get admission in Vellore, Chennai and Amravati campus. Your son can get admission in Bhopal campus.
