A Christian Minority Higher Educational Institution, St. Xavier College was founded in 1860 by a Catholic Minority Religious body, the Society of Jesus. Affiliated to Calcutta University, the college offers UG and PG courses in the field of Arts, Science, Commerce, Business Administration, and Education with various specializations. Is a Bachelors degree with an aggregate of 50%. The college also offers B.Ed (in Hindi, English, Geography, Economics, History, Political Science, Life Science, Mathematics). The admission process for B.Ed will commence from Feb and will conclude in the month of March 2019. Candidate must have scored at least 50% in Bachelor or Masters degree (for general category) and 45% for reserved categories.
