Indian applicants must meet the following requirements for admission to Western Sydney University-
- UG: Must have passed higher secondary with 60% - 70% in the best 4 core subjects
- PG: A Bachelor's degree is required for admission to Western Sydney University PG courses
Also, IELTS / TOEFL / PTE test scores have to be submitted.

Western Sydney Uni students can work part time, up to 48 hours per fortnight (when the university is in session).
- Students can work more when the Western Sydney Uni is not in session
- In case, if one is a PG research student at Western Sydney Uni, he / she can work for unlimited hours.

Vice Chancellor's Academic Excellence scholarships of Western Sydney Uni will cover 50% of the tuition fees for up to 3 years for UG courses and up to 2 years for PG courses. This scholarships leads to reduction in the tuition fees only. It does not cover the cost of living such as accommodation, transport, overseas student health cover, etc.
