Women in Engineering Program, formed in February 2013 in partnership with Rio Tinto and members of the Australian Power Institute (API) and the Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association (APPEA), is an initiative taken by the University of Queensland. The programme encourages women to pursue Engineering and build an impactful career for themselves. Currently, the programme is supported by 10 partners.

The University of Queensland consists of five faculties that offer 300+ courses to International students. The 5 faculties are Faculty of Business, Economics and Law, Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology, Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences, Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences and the Faculty of Science. Apart from this, the university also offers various research centres and groups such as Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology, Institute for Molecular Biosciences etc.

Yes, University of Queensland offers accommodations to the international students. There are two kinds of accommodations, on-campus and for short stays. Short-stay accommodations consist of Gatton Campus Motel, Gatton Cottage, Halls of Residence. For on-campus accommodations, the university offers single rooms so that the students are able to focus on their studies along with the comfort and privacy. The university consists of 10 residential colleges that provides on-campus accommodations.
