Student employment at Wheaton College presents situations that often require difficulty in finding suitable opportunities. Academically oriented Presidential Scholarships from Wheaton College range from $12,000 to $20,000 per year. For those who meet the requirements, international students may also be eligible for need-based international grants between $1,000 to $10,000 per year. Each year, a handful of students are invited by Wheaton to apply for the Aequitas Fellows Program, which grants a $24,000 fellowship based on academic excellence. The Aequitas scholarship takes the place of any Presidential Scholarship that has already been given out if the applicant is admitted into the program.

Student reviews mention that the college has a nice campus with a lot of accommodations. Students like that the facilities are up to date. Many reviews mention that the departments of all disciplines are very strong. Students also like the food and Wheaton College was rated #1 in campus food by the Princeton Review for 2011.
