Both universities are neck and neck when it comes to rankings.

As per the US News, both universities are giving each other very tough competition. But, in 2025, the University of Sydney took a better spot.

Students coming from different countries make up roughly around 47.5% of the total student body. Look at the data given below for a better understanding -

Yes, Times Higher Education has ranked the University of Sydney in the best universities of the world. Multiple factors are used for the same. 

THE 'World University Rankings' evaluate each important parameter of a university before issuing any ranking to the university or college.

As per THE university is ranked at #53 which is an improvement from what is was the last year. Earlier this ranking fell a little but this year, it again got better.

The University of Sydney has been ranked by some of the top ranking bodies like the US World and News, QS World  and THE rankings,  

US News University of Sydney has got top positions under a lot of categories such as -

  • Best Global Universities
  • Best Global Universities in New Zealand
  • Best Global Universities in Australia
  • Agricultural Sciences
  • Artificial Intelligence  

As per these rankings, the University of Sydney is ranked #29 in 2025 which is constant from what it was in 2024.
