5. Writing of Talas in Thah, Dugun, and Chougun, such as Teen-Taal, Jhaptal, and Chautaal.
6. Study of Abhinaya (expression) and its types, including Angika, Vachika, Aharya, and Satvika.
7. Knowledge of North Indian Tala system and importance of Thumari in Kathak.
8. Familiarity with folk dances from different parts of India, such as Gujrat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Punjab, and Haryana.
9. Study of stage arrangement, costume, and makeup for classical dance performances.
10. Practical training in Kathak dance, including performance of various items like Vandana, Thumari, Dadra, Tarana, and Hori.
The course also includes the study of Indian folklore theatres, such as Rasleela, Ramleela, Nautanki, Jatra, Ankia Nat, Yakshagana, Bhavai, Tamasha, and Mach. Additionally, students will learn about the common features between different folklore theatres and the contribution of notable personalities like Shri Uday Shankar to Indian dance.
