BHU applies tie-breaking method or inter-se merit criteria for resolving ties when two or more candidates obtain same marks/ same rank for a particular course (and under a particular reserved category). The tie-breaking method for BHU UET 2023 merit list is as under:
First - The University will give preference to those candidates who have higher aggregate percentage of marks at the Qualifying Examination I. e. Class 12 marks or equivalent examination while preparing merit list of all courses at undergraduate level. However, for admission to B.Sc. And B.Sc. (Hons. ). Ag. The aggregate marks in Science subjects shall only be considered for this purpose. Finally - In case the candidates have equal marks in the above stated Examinations, then the candidate senior in age shall be given preference.
