As per the exam pattern of BHU LL.B. The exam will be conducted in two languages- English and Hindi. The mode of the examination will be online (computer-based test) as well as offline (pen and paper test). There are four topics candidates must cover while preparing for BHU LL.B. Exam:
1. English Comprehension - This section will contain questions based on an unseen passage (Vocabulary, Grammar, Synonyms, Antonyms, Spelling corrections, Idioms and Word usage)
2. General Awareness and Currents Affairs - The questions in this section will be based on current scenario, the latest happenings and events like Current affairs, Indian history after independence, Indian politics, Medical Science and Important dates/ years in Indian history
3. Aptitude and Mental Ability - In this section candidates will be tested on their ability to understand the facts and significance of a persons behavior. This covers the following as Logical reasoning, Series, Critical reasoning and Analogy.
4. Legal Knowledge - In this section, candidates knowledge of law will be tested on Indian constitutional law, Constitutional rights, Fundamental rights, Intellectual Property Rights etc. A list of highly recommended reference books that the candidates can opt for their BHU LL.B. Entrance Test preparation is given below:

6. Aptitude and Mental Ability: Quantitative Aptitude by RS Aggarwal
