Eligibility Criteria listed below:
You must have at least 50% marks either in the Bachelors Degree and/or in the Masters Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Commerce/Humanity.
If you have a minimum of 55% marks in Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics or any other equivalent qualification you can apply for IGNOU B.Ed 2019.
Candidates who are applying for B.Ed(ODL) in Open Distance Learning, must also fulfill the below criteria,
Trained in-service teachers in elementary education.
A complete NCTE recognized teacher education programme through face to face mode.
Only those candidates whose results are declared and are qualified at the time of submitting the entrance cum application form are eligible.
Candidates having Masters Degree but if they are not awarded a first class, cannot apply for admission in IGNOU B.Ed 2019.
If you are not fulfilling minimum eligibility at the time of submitting the application form, even though you have appeared and qualified the entrance test, you will be considered ineligible.

Bachelor Preparatory Programme (BPP). This Programme is offered by the University to those students who wish to do Bachelors Degree of IGNOU but do not have the essential qualification of having passed 10+2. In absence of such a qualifying certificate these student are deprived of higher education. Eligibility to apply for the course =:
Age: Minimum 18 years
Candidates who do not have 10+2 qualification and attained the age of 18 years/as on 1st April and 1st October for January & July session respectively can apply for this course. No Formal qualification is required for the course. After the successful completion of the course, the students are placed in companies as below:
Aegis
Allsec technologies
Frankfinn
ICICI Prudential
LIC Max
New York life (as provided by the college).

According to the UGC, all the degrees are equal value and for the government services. It is not a problem. Most of the public sector companies are not accepting the distance education and all are asking for a full-time degree with a minimum of 60% of marks.
So, my personal experience is, distance education degrees will not have a good worth. But in the case of serving employees in the government sector/private sector for promotion prospectus, it is useful to do distance education degrees. If a person wants to start a career with distance education degrees, it is somewhat difficult.
Further, correspondence degree has a full validity for PG courses if it is recognized by UGC-DEB.

Eligibility is as below. Candidates wishing to pursue B.Sc Optometry needs to fulfill the below-mentioned minimum eligibility criteria in order to apply for the course. 10+2 qualification in the Science stream, completed from a recognized educational Board.

At least 50% marks either in the Bachelor's Degree and /or in the Master's Degree is required. The reservation and relaxation of 5% marks in minimum eligibility will be provided to SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer)/PWD candidates as per the rules of the Central Government.
