It's not necessary actually. It's bifocal subject. You have other options as well like Electronics, Scooter Science, etc. But, most preferred option in CS as you can score more marks easily in it.

No, with 44% you are not even eligible for direct B.Tech admission.

It depends on which stream and course you want to pursue as there is different rank for different courses like B.Tech, B.Sc, and other dual degree programs.

I was at KOTA and I had a phone with minimal specs 4 inch not android. I used to watch movies every Saturday on that phone. It must be your concern that it may lead to distraction and all. And you are right it surely leads to distraction. Only if you utilise it in a good way it can be productive. Which most of us don't do. Having a control over yourself matters. Keeping a phone is just a second part. First part is motivation. But my suggestion. Better [o be away from android in class 11 and 12. You will not regret surely.

It depends on your branch preference and also which IITs you consider as "good". Cutoffs are much higher in old IITs of Delhi, Kanpur and Bombay than the newly opened ones. JEE Board offered ranks to students scoring above 123 marks in JEE '14 which went approximately to AIR 19000.
However, general category students only up to AIR 9000 were considered for counselling and no student with AIR above 7500 got any branch in any IIT. The cutoffs in JEE are increasing drastically every year - and there is no fixed cutoff. The maximum marks and type of paper is also unpredictable. To be on the safe side, you should aim to get at least 48% of maximum marks - which would give you a rank around 4500. However, to get a decent branch at a “good" IIT a rank atleast below 3500 is must.

Hii Murali,
Hope you are doing good. I prefer that first, you solve all the previous year papers of JEE Advanced. Now, coming to reference books I prefer MTG for maths and HC Verma for physics. But I am really sorry to tell you that I don't remember the good reference books for chemistry. Also, please check with some more people regarding books.
Hope this helps you.

Anything below 2000 will give you sure shot admission as some top performers choose CSE and IT in large numbers.

It seems that it is no possible as you have to give JEE Mains for entering into IITs after 10+2 as IITs don't entertain lateral entry admissions. So better try other good colleges.
