Candidates can compare IISc Bangalore and IIT Bombay based on several statistics such as tuition fee, student ratings, placement statistics, infrastructure and more. Both IISc Bangalore and IIT Bombay have good infrastructure and faculty which help students pursue the right career in BSc for themselves. However, the tuition fee at IIT Bombay is much higher than IISc Bangalore for BSc courses at INR 8 Lacs per annum and INR 40,000 per semester being the tuition fee at the aforementioned institutes respectively.

Additionally, the registration fee to submit the GATE application form for boys is INR 1,700, INR 850 for girls, and INR 850 for SC/ST/PwD category students. For admission to the BSc course at IIT Bombay, candidates are first required to complete the basic eligibility criteria, which state that applicants must complete their Class 12 with a minimum of 75% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. For reserved categories (SC, ST, and PwD), the minimum aggregate is 65%. Further, all the IIT aspirants have to appear for JEE Main and afterwards, JEE Advanced. Only the top 2,25,000 scores in JEE Main will become eligible to sit for JEE Advanced. A very small number of students may also be admitted to the BS in Mathematics programme through an alternative route for those who have qualified for the Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO).
