The institute offers Merit-cum-Means Scholarship to a maximum of 25% of the sanctioned intake of UG and MSc students. Facilities of Free Messing is also available to SC/ ST students under which they get an exemption from paying the tuition fees. In addition, the Office of the Dean Alumni & Corporate Relations manages the Named scholarship endowed by the alumni of the Institute and other wellwishers. Placements: The campus placements at IIT Bombay are good; we can apply for any company irrespective of our branch. Students are eligible for placements from the 7th semester onwards. Placements: Placements are really good in the EE branch, with opportunities from all the domains, including Core, Development, CSE, Consulting, and Finance, being thrown open to the students, so no dearth of opportunities. For sure 90% of students get placements and internships, and any student should least worry about those things. You get all the top recruiting MNCs here for the interviews. I feel EE is at a bit of a sweet spot compared to CSE in many regards.
