The table given below mentioned eligibility criteria for M.Tech courses offered in different modes:MTech Course TypeEligibility Criteria Full-Time BE/BTech/MSc or equivalent with (a) CGPA 6.00 on a 10-point scale or 60% marks in aggregate for General/OBC (Non Creamy Layer)/EWS. Category with valid GATE score BTech from IITs with CGPA of 8.00 without GATE are also eligible for admission. AMIE / Grad. IETE are eligible.Part-TimeBE/BTech/MSc or equivalent in relevant field with (a) CGPA 6.00 on a 10 point scale or 60% marks in aggregate for General/OBC (Non Creamy Layer)/EWS Category and minimum experience. The steps to be followed for online application form filling are:Step 1: Visit the official website of IIT Delhi and click on ‘Admissions’. In the drop-down menu, select ‘Announcements’.Step 2: Click on the ‘Apply Now’ button to proceed further.Step 3: Register by entering a few basic details and create login credentials.Step 4: Login to fill out the complete admission form.Step 5: Upload the required documents in PDF format. Also, upload a passport-size photograph and signature and JPG/ JPEG format.Step 6: Pay the application fee.

The total course fee is a cumulative of multiple components such as tuition fee, medical fees, transport fees, etc. IIT Delhi PhD tuition fee for full-time course is INR 7,500 per semester. In addition, PhD (part-time/sponsored) programmes is INR 17,500. The hostel fee for PhD candidates is INR 13,250. Some other fee such as students distress fund scheme (each semester) of INR 400 and insurance scheme (yearly) fee of INR 500 may also be added in the fee. Further, the fee mentioned here is taken from IIT Delhi 2023 prospectus.

During the BTech course duration, the students have to do compulsory foundation courses in the areas of basic sciences, humanities, engineering sciences, and social sciences along with the departmental core and elective courses. Moreover, IIT Delhi offers internship opportunities to UG students, the duration of short-term internships is 1.5 to 2 months and is 6 months for long-term internships.Apart from this, the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi also offer an integrated BTech and MTech programme. The duration of this dual degree course is five years against the standard duration of both the courses - BTech (four years) and MTech (two years).
