The KGMU central library remains open all days of the week. From Monday to Saturday, the timings are from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm and on Sundays, the library is operative from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. It is completely closed on public holidays such as on Republic Day, Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti, Holi, Eid-ul-Fitr, Dusshera and Deepawali. The library also consists of a reading room, open from 9:00 am for the whole day and closing at 6:00 am the next day.

Yes, King George's Medical College does offer a library facility to its students. It has a collection of 44,862 books, 29876 bound volumes, 3883 print theses and 1316 DVDs / CDs. The library operates on the software KOHA and uses OPAC-SOUL software so that students can access the digital database of the library. It is subscribed to 194 print journals, 4410 e-journals and 4273 e-books, providing the students and faculty with plenty and the best resources. The library also consists of a reading room with a cafeteria right next to it.

However, OBC/ SC/ ST category students are required to pay INR 42100 (With Hostel) and INR 37200 (Without Hostel). Usually, the tuition fee is paid at the beginning of each academic year.
