Admission to various UG and PG courses is both merit and entrance based. Aspirants need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place before applying for this course. For BTech course, the university conducts its in-house entrance exam, i.e., Amity Joint Entrance Exam. The university accepts various national-level entrance exams such as JEE Main, CAT, XAT, MAT, etc. Other than that, for some UG and PG courses, students are selected based on their merit performance in the previous qualifying exam.

The cut-off marks are different for different castes like 36.4 for General, 34.9 for SC, 38.5 for ST and 38.1 for other Backward castes. The minimum cut off scores for PU LLB 2023 entrance exam is 20 out of 100 for General/ OBC category, and 15 out of 100 marks for SC/ ST/ PwD categories. Merit is calculated taking 50% of the class +2 percentage including weightages and 50% of the UGLAW Entrance Test marks. Having secured minimum 45% marks in aggregate for general category and 40% marks in aggregate for SC/ST category. Since every wrong answer carries a negative marking of -0.25. Merit is calculated taking 50% of the class +2 percentage including weightages and 50% of the UGLAW Entrance test marks.

Minimum 65 percentage in B.A. LLB is good score and have more chances of getting better opportunities than one who scored less. You can get good Law College on India if you can score well in B.A. LLB, any how entrance exam will be considered for admission but still it adds up value. And also needed minimum 55% percentage is required to qualify in PU LLB entrance exam. Candidates are advised to note that it is required to obtain at least 35% marks to get the passing marks out of 45 in Panjab University. The PU total marks is 120 for UG exams and 75 marks for courses such as PG and B.P.
