Panjab University Scholarship Details ,Chandigarh

Panjab University offers various scholarships to its students under many categories.  A large number of scholarships are offered under certain schemes sponsored by the Government of Panjab, Union Territory of Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh. Panjab University dean may grant exemption from payment of university tuition fee up to 10% of total number of students in a class. Some of the Panjab University scholarships are listed below:

Panjab University Scholarships 2026 

Students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate courses at Panjab University can avail numerous scholarships. Apart from the scholarships, the university grants several tuition fee concession depending upon the category of students. Tuition fee concession is available for university employees and their wards, wife of a university employee who is not working but is studying in a university's college, and physically handicapped students. Following are some of the major PUCHD scholarships which can be availed by students:

The Office of DSW provides the following financial assistance and scholarships:

• Need-cum-Merit based Scholarship: This scholarship is paid for nine months a year to handicapped students.
• Sports Scholarships: This scholarship is awarded on the basis of student's performance in sports activities.
• Extra-Curricular Activities Scholarship: In this scholarship, performance of the students in various activities like debates, one-act play etc. is the deciding factor for award of the scholarship.

Panjab University provide freeship to 5% of meritorious students who belong to economically weaker sections of the society.
