Such institutes enjoy academic status and privileges of a university and are declared 'Deemed-to-be' by the Department of Higher Education on the advice of the UGC.

| Grade 'A++' accredited by NAAC

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) is an autonomous body established by the UGC to assess and accredit institutions of higher education in the country. It grades an institution from A++ (best rating) to C. Rating D indicates that the institution is not accredited.

While some may say that RV has a lower NIRF rating as compared to SASTRA, please note that the system is evidently flawed (Ex: BITS Pilani has a higher rank than VIT Vellore). If this framework was accurate and trusted, JEE toppers would head to IIT Madras rather than IIT Bombay for CSE. People would rush to join VIT instead of BITS Pilani. Hope you get the point.
