Amazing college for students with a thirst for success.
Placements: More than 90% of students get placed this year with good salary from the school of computing. The highest package is 35 LPA. The lowest salary is around 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies for CSE students are Wipro and TCS. Internships are not officially given by our college but we on our own do it. Software developer and web management are top roles offered in the computing course of SASTRA.
Infrastructure: SASTRA has free Wi-Fi for students which should be used legally. Labs are cleaned and air-conditioned. Food in hostel is obviously poor but canteen food is hygienic and tastier. We can only get veg food in SASTRA. No special coaching for extra curriculum.
Faculty: Teachers are all Ph.D. graduates. The course curriculum is frequently updated according to industrial needs. Semester exams are not so difficult but correction of papers will be straightforward. Pass percentage will vary semester-wise based on question paper level, recent pass percentage is 91%.
Other: I chose CSE course because of its emerging scope. SASTRA conducts three fests yearly. Those fests give a good opportunity for students to socialize.

Sastra is the best place to learn and grow. The best students get admitted here.
Placements: Around 50% of students get placed this year. The highest package is 22 LPA, and I am not aware of the lowest package. Zoho, Deloitte, and Comcast are top companies. I think about 10% of students get internships. Roles like Data Engineer and Developer are offered. Packages are good.
Infrastructure: Good Wi-Fi facility. A good library with many books that are useful for students and staff to improve their knowledge. The hostel is good, with good food and better exposure to new people and cultures. Sports and games are offered to both male and female students.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and good. Students must be capable of studying because subjects may be more for the engineering course. They must choose better courses that make students industry-ready. But, students should also become well-skilled by the second year itself to gain better opportunities.

I am averagely satisfied with placements and the quality of education.
Placements: The highest package is 34 LPA. TCS and Cognizant are the top recruiting companies for our course. 80% of students get placed. 50% of students got internships from my course in Zoho, L&T, etc. Roles offered in our course are team leader and developer.
Infrastructure: There is no college hostel but there are some private hostels nearby. The food facilities are poor. Sports games are not encouraged. Labs are not so efficient but have average equipment. In classrooms, benches are not so comfortable and projectors are available in some classrooms only.
Faculty: Semester exams are tough in college. The pass percentage is 50%. The course curriculum is relevant but not for the first two semesters. It makes students averagely industry-ready. The teaching quality varies depending on the faculty members. Most of them teach well.
Other: Events happen often but fests happen only once a year. Scholarships are not given. The campus has only one common ground and it has so high crowd. It should improve the lab facilities.

Value for money and decent placements.
Placements: I haven't graduated yet but based on previous year placements and information from seniors around 80% of people are getting placed with an average package of 8 LPA. With packages on the higher end being close to 35 LPA. Overall I think the placement is decent with people getting placed in core companies.
Infrastructure: The overall campus infrastructure is very good. The college has a very good library facility. The hostels are maintained well and the campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled but it is quite slow it's just enough to load websites and YouTube video in 1080p and the Wi-Fi only works for laptops, not for mobile, the classrooms are equipped with projectors.
Faculty: The question papers are set to standards and the curriculum is up to date I've cross-verified the syllabus with my friends in other big universities like IIT BHU and Manipal and they are similar. The end sem papers are quite difficult and a minimum of 51 is required to pass the subject.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are good. Wi-Fi is okay not much good. Library is excellent. Infrastructures are very good. Medical facilities are available 24X7 on our campus. Canteens are very good. They provide important information for sports and games. They conduct an event named Colloseum sports events every year for 3 days. Mess food is okay.
Faculty: Teaching quality is top-notch. They are very helpful to students. They are qualified for the capable students. 1st year is common for all students. From the second year onwards, they entered into their core department. It will prepare the student for their industry. JEE students can easily crack the semester exam but remaining students somewhat difficult. But is easy to pass in all subjects. 92% is the pass percentage.
Other: I chose ECE (CPS), its a specialisation course. It provides extra knowledge to me. Nothing is required, everything is good. Every year 4 events are held like 2 technical events, 1 sports event, and 1 cultural fest.

Q:   I got 79 percentile in JEE Mains and 66% in Class 12. Will I get admission to Sastra University, Thanjavur?
A:

Based on the information you've provided, your JEE Mains percentile of 79 is decent and could be a competitive score for admission to Sastra University, Thanjavur. Sastra University is known for its competitive admission process, and the cutoff marks can vary each year. It's essential to have a clear understanding of the admission requirements and eligibility criteria to make an informed decision.

In case your JEE Mains percentile meets or exceeds the cutoff set by Sastra University for your desired course, you stand a good chance of getting admission. However, if the cutoff is higher, you may consider other options or explore different courses that align with your JEE Mains score and class 12 percentage.
