All three universities LPU, Banasthali and SASTRA are fine in their own way, but if you pay more emphasis on placements, I will recommend LPU as the better option. Placement opportunities in LPU are quite extensive because many of the top companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Cognizant, Infosys, Wipro and many others visit the campus every year. The university also has excellent industry connections, skill development activities, internships, and training sessions that assist students in preparing for interviews. The placement record of students being placed in top MNCs with high packages is highly impressive. Even students belonging to other streams receive proper exposure in terms of internships and placements. Besides placements, the university life, infrastructure, and state-of-the-art facilities also contribute to overall growth. Your LPU-NEST ranking also provides you with a good opportunity to access scholarships. So, if you are looking for a campus with good placement guidance and overall growth, LPU can be a very good choice.

The prospects of getting a seat in BTech CSE at SASTRA University with 988 marks in your Intermediate Public Examination (IPE) and 83 percentile in JEE Mains are dependent on the method of admission that the university may adopt and the past trends of the cutoffs.ASTRA University BTech CSE OverviewThe streams of admission to SASTRA are as follows:The JEE Main marks will be held in position (25% weightage) and normalized +2 (IPE) marks of 75 percent weightage).Stream 2 (30 % of seats): Selected based on marks of IPE/+2 only.Trends or how close you were to being cut off last year and how well you scored it out this year.CSE: In general category, JEE Main ranks in 2025 are likely to be 500 1000 or lower in stream 1 and more in stream 2.CSE percentiles of the admitted candidates in JEE Main are normally above 95-98 percentile in stream 1.Your IPE score is 988 (out of 1,000), which is great and will put you in a better position in Stream 2, although IPE-only seats are among the most competitive and mostly are given away to candidates whose +2 scores are very high along with those who have high JEE Main rank also.JEE Main and IPE-1With this higher percentile the JEE mains rank will be even higher than 10,000, which is well out of the cutoff range under Stream 1, BTech CSE at SASTRA.Chances are low that you will get a seat in Stream 1 CSE irrespective of having a good IPE score because of the weight of the JEE rank.IPE Only Stream 2The cut off point in Stream 2 would be very high: candidates under this stream typically require close to perfect IPE scores (often 990+), but this changes with the levels of overall applicants and competition each year. You have a slim chance at 988, but it may still be considered less possible CSE (the hardest to get into), unless the availability of seats or competition will be diminished in the current year.ConclusionVery High Chance (Above 98 percentile in JEE and 990+ IPE): There is no chance of missing CSE.Profile ( 988 IPE + 83 JEE rank) :CSE (Main Campus): Can be opted in Stream 2 only. The great results you got in IPE give you some chance in Stream 2, where there are few places, and they usually go to high scores. It is possible that you can stand a better shot in allied courses (IT/ECE/other engineering) provided you are open to them/or in the off-campus center. The final and the last result is available on the web site of SASTRA i.e. the official merit list and counseling confirmations, as the exact cutoff varies every year based on the demand and quality of the candidates.
