SASTRA University does not give admission on the basis of JEE Mains only. It also consider the board percent which should be 95 % and above or minimum 90 % and above.
And in Mains, 100 and above marks is required. They prepare their own merit list on the basis of 2 criteria:
First criteria has 70% of seats. Admissions are given by taking 25% weightage of JEE Mains and 75% of boards. Second criteria includes admission on the basis of board's marks only. But, it has only 30% of seats. So, for this criteria you should be having 95 or 95 and for securing your seat, as in this criteria, competition may be very tough. I hope this will help you. First criteria have 70% of seats. Admissions are given by taking 25% weightage of JEE Mains and 75% of boards. Second criteria include admission on the basis of boards marks only. But it has only 30% of seats, so for this criteria, you should be having 95 or 95+ for securing your seat as in this criteria competition may be very tough. (Note:- merit list of both criteria is prepared differently).

You are doing a course in deemed university but I would like to clear you that SASTRA has admissions through only three process:
1) Counselling process- With this, you could enter again into first year provided that you should have enough score. Visit www.sastra.edu for further details of admission.
2) NRI quota wherein you will enter through SASTA as a foreign candidate with full payment category.
3) As a student of Diploma with more than 95% marks, you can directly enter into SASTRA, 2nd year with high score your choice of department.
The way you have told is not possible, not only as far as SASTRA but also, for any other deemed university. But, you have an opportunity to join SASTRA and again, study from first year as I have mentioned in first command. Wish you all the best.
