I would say that SASTRA University is any day better than Amrita.
SASTRA is more of an education oriented institution and the opportunities are a plenty.
It's been ranked in the top 100 institutions in the world.

Of course he is eligible, but it's uncertain if you'll get the asked for course. You can always select a course and then slide to the desired course after the end of the first year if you have a +9 GPA.

Firstly, there is no caste based reservation in SASTRA.
Secondly, With your mark you'll be able to get a seat in SASTRA, but it might not be the same course as you expect it to be.

Yes you can! But it depends on the present year stats.
