The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) is an autonomous body established by the UGC to assess and accredit institutions of higher education in the country. It grades an institution from A++ (best rating) to C. Rating D indicates that the institution is not accredited.

Hi,
It is good that you have opted for aerospace engineering. But with 87% you have only medium or low chances to get a seat at SASTRA University.
You need to apply under stream 2, where students with 90-95% and above appear and also the remaining 30% of seats are only filled in stream 2. All these factors make your chances to get admission low.
If you have already applied, then the rank list will be released on June 10. So that you may check whether you can have a possibility or not, refer www.sastra.edu for further details and the counselling starts from June 19.

Yes you have chances to get Sastra University.
They consider JEE marks and overall percentage of board exams. So if you tell me the overall percentage or the total marks for which you have written your boards then it will be easy for me to tell whether you can surely get it or not .
You need to apply under stream 1 and the last date is June 10.

Sastra University is one of the reputed institutions in India. It has many accreditation and rankings. So it is better to study any course in Sastra University. If you get a better one than Sastra then go for it. But Sastra University is far better than many other colleges in India which is available with affordable fee structure.
So, you can opt for mechanical engineering at Sastra and the placement is also good.

Yes, there are really high chances for you to get a seat at SASTRA University, Thanjavur. There also good chances for you to get the course that you have asked. I think you can also get the other top courses like mechanical, EEE, ECE, etc. Your board exam percentage and JEE Mains marks will be converted into a percentile and the ranks will be put.
97.5(0.75)+98(0.25)=97.6 . On this basis you will be placed on a rank.
On June 10th they will be releasing the rank list which determines your chances of getting a top course. Apply, if you have not as the last date is June 10th.

Yes, Sastra University gives admissions through JEE marks. Your 70% marks of JEE and 30% marks that you scored in class 12th are counted. You can definitely get admissions in Sastra University, if you score well.

There are very low chances to get the top branches like CSE, ECE, etc. with a rank of 1815 under stream 1. You may get some rare branches like EIE, mechatronics, etc. but the chances are low as only 2000 AIR ranks are only called for counselli
