Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Chennai inducts applicants through VITMEE which is VIT own entrance exam. VITMEE is a gateway for candidates to take admission in different courses and specialisations at VIT, Chennai. Students planning to take admission in M.Tech at VIT must take the VITMEE exam to become eligible for counselling by obtaining a decent rank.VITMEE syllabus for M.Tech candidates is based on their BTech discipline syllabus. Besides that comparing VITMEE to GATE, which is a national-level entrance examination for admission in M.Tech in several IITs, NITs and many central and state universities then, VITMEE is far easier than GATE exam in terms of exam pattern, syllabus and marking system. So, if candidates prepare well for the VITMEE exam, they can obtain a decent score/ rank.

Both the universities have their own pros and cons.VIT is an old and an established university. Due to this, companies in the fortune 500 group also visit the campus for recruitment.SNU is a new university with a totally revised, updated and industry-ready curriculum. Only those courses which matter and have an impact are included in your syllabus.Since VIT is pretty old, it has tie-ups from more foreign universities.Although SNU is pretty new, it has achieved so much in 6 years that other universities only dream of.Admission in SNU is based completely on your merit. No management or any other quota can get you in.SNU accepts a very small number of students each year. As a result, you won’t be lost in the crowd. If you are good at something, you will be able to showcase it.Each and every student getting admission in SNU is given some scholarship (based on your board result). The fees for the same course in VIT is twice as much as in SNU. (Why pay so much more when you are getting to learn the same thing? )
