B.Sc. fashion design at VIT Chennai.
Placements: Almost 50% of students studying B.Sc. fashion design got placed in VIT Chennai. The highest package is around 10 LPA, and the lowest package is around 3 LPA. Companies like Myntra, Bombay Dyeing, Aditya Birla Group, etc., come for placements and internships.
Infrastructure: We have Wi-Fi for hostelers throughout the campus. We have labs for pattern making, garment construction, and CAD. Mess service in the hostel is good with options for vegetarian and non-vegetarian. We also have a Domino's and Lassi House on campus.
Faculty: All teachers are qualified and most of them have Ph.D. The curriculum is relevant to the industry demands. Semester exams are easy but it takes effort to crack them. If you study you score marks, otherwise you will fail in your subjects.
Other: There are many events, fests, and extracurricular activities on the campus. Scholarship opportunities for fashion design department (VFIT) are relatively lower than for other departments which should be improved.

B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2028

This is my insight about the college. I would definitely recommend people joining here.
Placements: Placements here are quite good. All placements take place in the Vellore campus. They ensure all the students get placed, even if you are doing mechanical you get an assured job in some software companies. Their average package for this year is around 11 LPA - 12 LPA. The highest package is 88 LPA. 867 companies visited and offered 8,000 job roles. For mechanical department top recruiters are Mercedes and Mahindra. 75-95% of eligible students got placed. They also keep in touch with the leading MNCs and provide students with projects. Top roles offered by them are design engineer, automation, manufacturing process planner, etc.
Infrastructure: We have the best campus. It's 192 acres of land. We have gym, swimming pool, canteens, bank, supermarket, etc. Library here is the best. We have a wide range of books from academics to comics to magazines. During exam times, the library is open until 12:00 AM or even 2:00 AM. All the canteens are well maintained except few. You can see monkeys using the same cup as they give you for drinking water or anything for that matter. Talking about extracurricular, we have 2 grounds, cricket pitch, basketball ground, and tennis court. The sports room is well-equipped.
Faculty: We get to choose our own faculty members and slots. On the website, we get the academic backgrounds of all faculty members, almost all of them are highly qualified teachers. They are easily approachable. There are few professors who have excellent knowledge and experience. They also have connections with other people, and they provide us with internship opportunities. Course curriculum is one of the reasons why I chose this college. They provide specialisation courses along with the core. For example, I have chosen mechanical with AI and ML. The curriculum equips students with skills and knowledge for industry readiness. The pass percentage is 97%.
Other: I wanted to do aerospace engineering so I chose mechanical to make my basics strong. It covers all basics and also the future scope is high. I can get into any mechanical-related field with this degree.

Good College with Good Infrastructure but Has a Very Good Placement Team.
Placements: Around 70% of students are placed in my course. The highest package offered is 26 LPA, the lowest is 3.5 LPA, and the average package offered is 8.5 LPA. The top recruiting company for the course is NetApp. Out of the placed students, around 80% got the internship. The top role offered is the SDE Intern.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are excellent, but the hostel for boys and girls is very weird. They can't use electronic devices in the hostel, like electric kettles and irons, which are not allowed inside. Students can't get pre-cooked food inside the hostel. Anyone who orders any items from e-commerce has to go to the main entrance gate to collect their items.
Faculty: The curriculum is a little bit related to industry standards, but the projects that you are building might help you understand more about the curriculum. The fundamentals that they are teaching you might help you in your future career. The faculty members are okay; some of the faculty need everything very specific, but overall, if you are doing the work according to the faculty, they will treat you well.
Other: I chose this course because my cousins graduated from the same campus, and they got placed in amazing companies with amazing technical skills. The one thing that I wish would be better/improved about my course is a more coding-related course with complex concepts and more hands-on practice than just writing exams.

Faculty members, classes, library, hostel, mess food, ambulance services, and everything are good.
Placements: 50-60% of students got placed. The average package is 4 LPA - 5 LPA. Both technical and non-technical jobs are offered. Many companies come to our college. There are different number of grounds for each company. Mostly first round is conducted online mode. In that few are from own location and others we have to write it in the college.
Infrastructure: Hostels are pretty good. Generally, if we see in many other colleges, hostels are not that good but the prices are high but here the hostel is pretty decent. They provide both north and south Indian dishes. Free Wi-Fi, night canteen, and a small smart are also there. We have a health block and ambulance services are also available. We have a sports club and there are teams for different games and sports so you can join them. Labs, classrooms, and library are pretty good.
Faculty: Teachers are definitely helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Definitely semester exams are a bit tough compared to other colleges. Most of the senior lecturers have doctorates in their stream. The best part is that we can select teachers for most of the subjects, and we can also make a timetable for ourselves.
Other: We have two fests per year, one is Vibrance and the other one is Techno VIT. Both are pretty nice events. Coming to the events, we conduct number of events. We have at least 1-2 events per day (from any club) except for exam days.

Our college is good, and placement you will get just by maintaining your CGPA.
Placements: We are the second batch of our course (Bachelor of Computer Science), so our seniors will go for placements next year only, then we will get to know about the placement of our course, but our curriculum is industry-friendly and it is almost very similar to B.Tech.
Infrastructure: Hostel infrastructure is not very good. Because of common bathrooms, many girls suffer from UTIs, and even the rooms are too small. I'm paying around Rs. 70,000 for the room alone, that too a non-AC room, and it's too small, and you won't get a flat and bed, it's mostly bunk beds, which are comfortable.
Faculty: The faculty of our course is good, they are friendly. You will be provided remedial classes if you don't score good marks, and our curriculum is perfectly fit for the industry, and it makes us industry-ready and is made by industry experts themselves. Pass percentage depends on the class average. However, getting above 40% in finals is a must.

My college overall Review.
Placements: The average salary package is around 8.5 LPA. Almost all companies visit. If students are good at studies and can apply their knowledge in real life, then there is a high chance of your placement. Top companies like Infosys, TCS, etc., visit the college for placements.
Infrastructure: There are three hostels on campus and three major academic buildings. The mess food is decent. There are various labs, including Fluid Mechanics, MATLAB, BEEE Lab, English Lab, Chemistry Lab, and many more. Projectors are available in each class. Wi-Fi is available in the hostels and labs.
Faculty: There are three major exams in a semester. CAT 1 and CAT 2 are similar to mid-term exams, and FAT is the end-semester exam. Many assignments and quizzes are conducted. FAT is conducted for 100 marks, and CAT 1 and CAT 2 are conducted for 50 marks each. The passing percentage is 50%.
