VIT Chennai Course Admission 2026: Eligibility, Selection Process, Application, Fee

Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Chennai usually releases the application form for VITMEE in January and concludes the VITMEE exam in April. Candidates willing to take admission in M.Tech at VIT, Chennai must take this entrance exam, which is VIT's own entrance exam. The candidate should have a minimum of 60% aggregate in BTech to apply for VITMEE, also students need to prepare well for the exam described above to become eligible for the counselling process followed by document verification and fee payment.

VIT Chennai BSc application fees for the academic year 2025 is INR 600. The application fees deposited by candidates is inclusive of GST and is non-refundable. The application fees can only be paid through the online mode using Net banking/ Debit card/ Credit card.

Candidates must complete Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology with at least 60% aggregate (50% aggregate for SC/ ST and applicants hailing from Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.) to apply for VIT Chennai BTech programme. 

Age Limit

Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 2003 are eligible to apply for VITEEE-2025.Candidates who fail to produce this certificate in original as proof of their age at the time of counselling, shall stand disqualified.

Nationality

The applicant for VITEEE should be a Resident / Non-Resident Indian National / OCI / PIO Holder.

Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Chennai accepts admission in the MBA course through various national-level entrance exams such as CAT/XAT/MAT/GMAT/CMAT/ATMA/NMAT. Candidates interested in taking admission in MBA VIT, Chennai must take any one of the entrance exam mentioned above.
