At VELS Institute of Science, Technology, and Advanced Studies (VISTAS), internal exams are essential for determining a student's overall grade, or GPA, in a specific course. If a student is unable to attend an internal exam, it can have a negative impact on their final grade. However, the institute has a provision that allows students to request a re-exam if they have a valid and genuine reason for their absence. To take advantage of this opportunity, students need to provide a prior letter or a valid explanation for their absence to the appropriate authorities. This gives the student a chance to make up for the missed exam and potentially improve their overall grade in the course.

Yes, you can get admission in the college directly, but you have to talk to the concerned persons in the office to do so. You will get admission in the college in the management quota. But payment should be made to book the management seats.

There won't be any serious ragging inside the campus. So that's a plus for the first years. They will be helped by the faculty throughout the first year and the teachers even apply much pressure to keep the first years in their control.

Many cultural events are held in the college. But the fun fact is that the students won't be knowing the details of the events. Sports day is conducted but events only takes place after the class hours. Many students find this difficult as they won't be allowed to practice or may not be possible for the students to stay back after the class hours as they may be coming from long distance. There is no coordinator in the arrangement of functions and the events are held for just the name sake only and the college doesn't give much importance to events or programs.

Failing in internal exams won't have adverse effect on the students. Attending the internals is enough as far as I know. The staff will allow students to appear for the semester exam by giving the required marks necessary for passing the internals. There would be a total of 3 internals and a model exam. So you should only have to pass in any other case.
