Reality of so called reputed university.

Placements: Placements are pretty mediocre at their best, only 30 percent of students get placed mainly in software based companies and we do not have proof that we ever have a product based company for placements. The roles offered are pretty basic and only very few get the opportunity for internship.

Satisfied with the faculty, infrastructure could be improved, and good placements last year.

Placements: I just joined my batch a few months ago. I don’t know the placement percentage, but there are 63 students enrolled in my course. I also don’t know the package system yet. The recruiting companies for my course are SYASANS and ZOHO, and the top roles are Senior Microbiologist and Lab Technician.

A short review of VELS School of Engineering.

Placements: Don't need to worry about placements. VELS is providing good placements, 90% of the students particularly. They have been doing good in this part for the recent few years. VELS is a trusted university. They are offering placements from good companies, salary is not so high but I can say that VELS is one of the top 10 colleges in Chennai that is offering good placements with a decent salary package.

No, you will not be eligible for the MBA course at VELS Institute if you haven't appeared for any entrance exam. You have to first achieve at least 50% in graduation and then appear in any one of the accepted exams, namely, MAT, CAT, TANCET, and XAT.
