Yes, VELS University does provide a refund in case of withdrawal of admission. However, the refund is subject to fulfillment of certain conditions. Listed below are the guidelines to be followed as per the fee refund policy of the university:

• If students apply for cancellation prior to the commencement of classes, then they are entitled to a refund of the tuition fees. In such a case, registration and admission fees are not refundable.
• If a student discontinues in the middle of a course, he/she shall be required to pay the tuition fee for the remaining period of the programme.

Students need to pay one-time charge of BSc course at School of Hotel and Catering Management, VELS University. This one-time charge can be applicable before enrolment of the course or security charges. 

At the undergraduate level, VELS Institute of Science Technology & Advanced Studies offers three to four-year B.Tech in various specialisations. Admissions to various undergraduate courses are based on merit and entrance exam scores. The eligibility criteria for B.Tech is Class 12 with a minimum of 45% to 60 % and the accepted entrance exams are VEE and others. The fee for the B.Tech course is INR 2.59 Lacs to INR 11.62 Lacs. The VELS Institute of Science Technology & Advanced Studies offers various other courses to students like M.Tech, M.Sc. And others. The university gives an option to students to select from any course and the application fee will be charged accordingly for the same.

Candidates wan to cancel their admission are eligible for refund of academic fee. The refund will be made as per the norms of UGC. The university doen't refund the admission and registration fee. Request for cancellation of admission and refund of fees may be considered in accordance with the following norms:

• If a candidates applies for cancellation prior to the commencement of classes, then, the

• The management may sympathetically consider the application to discontinue and

 VELS University admission 2025 is both merit and entrance-based. The university conducts its own VELS Entrance Exam (VEE) to provide admission to various UG and PG courses. The mode of VELS Institute of Science, Technology & Advanced Studies admissions is online. Further, candidates seeking admission to the BTech programme at VELS Chennai must be Class 12 passed in relevant subjects with at least 45% aggregate based on specialisation. 

VELS University follows the reservation guidelines set by the state government. As per the norms, the university provides a reservation of 22% of the seats for candidates belonging to the SC/ST community. For students belonging to the other categories, such as the EWS and PWDs, the university does not have any seat reservation policy. However, it extends its support via scholarships and fee waivers.

The university also admits students with excellent sports performance under the ‘Sports’ quota. Students who have already participated in interstate and interuniversity sports and games competitions are offered free education, including boarding and lodging.
