Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) is a highly reputed university that offers admission to its undergraduate programs based on the performance of students in the VITEEE (VIT Engineering Entrance Examination) or on the basis of their marks in 10+2 or equivalent exams. For admission to the BCA programme at VIT, you will have to apply through the VIT admission portal and provide your 10+2 marks. The cut-off for the BCA programme at VIT varies each year, depending on factors such as the number of applicants, the number of seats available, and the difficulty level of the exam. Based on your marks of 89.2 percent in CBSE class 12, you have a fair chance of securing admission to the BCA programme at VIT. However, the final admission decision will depend on several other factors such as the number of applicants, the cut-off marks for the year, and your performance in the admission process. Therefore, I suggest you apply to VIT and also explore other options simultaneously. Keep a track of the admission notification and cut-off marks for the BCA programme at VIT on their official website, and prepare accordingly for the admission process.

Both Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) and SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) are well-known private engineering colleges in India that offer a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in engineering and technology. When it comes to choosing between VIT and SRMIST for B.Tech, there are several factors that you need to consider, such as the quality of education, faculty, infrastructure, research facilities, campus life, and placements. In terms of academic excellence and research facilities, both VIT and SRMIST are well-equipped and provide high-quality education. However, VIT has been consistently ranked higher than SRMIST in various national and international rankings. In terms of placements, both colleges have a good track record, and many reputed companies visit both campuses for recruitment. However, VIT has a better placement record than SRMIST in recent years. The average package offered at VIT is around 7-8 LPA, while at SRMIST, it is around 4-5 LPA. Overall, both VIT and SRMIST are good colleges for B.Tech. However, if you are looking for better placement opportunities and higher average packages, VIT may be a better choice for you. Nevertheless, you should also consider other factors such as location, infrastructure, fees, and facilities before making a final decision. It's always advisable to visit the campuses, talk to the faculty, and interact with students to get a better understanding of the college culture and environment.
