No. Not at all. Biotechnology is an interdisciplinary field, emphasising mainly on key general, introductory Biology courses followed by the necessary courses in applied sciences using Biotechnology. In my opinion, there's nothing to caution yourself whether you are PCB/PCMB/PCM student. My suggestion would be to please give some time learning the definition of the word Biotechnology put into words by various international organisations, the applications of Biotechnology and its scope in India. The general notion is that Biotechnology doesn't have much scope within India and I have seen most of my friends around biotechnology taking up other careers. Its a sad note that a number folks prefer to go abroad for further studies to large extent; howbeit, I feel the if you are smart and determined to face whatever it takes, you can come out with wonders. Now, if you really are passionate about Biotechnology, brace yourself, my friend. Hope that helps. Cheers!

If you've studied well for boards, then of course you can get a good rank in VITEEE. Otherwise, chances are less. Few tips - If you're in CBSE, focus only on class 12th topics. Very less topics are from 11th like equilibrium, etc.Follow the brochure and prepare accordingly. If your preparation for boards was good, then it won't take much effort.VITEEE has no negative marking, hence attempt all questions. Keep a margin of 5-10 min just for attempting the questions whose answers you don't know.Solve your strong subject first and the weakest subject in the end.All the best. VITEEE is one of the easiest entrances in engineering. If you're thorough with your plus-two syllabus, you'll clear it easily.

Unlike others, I have considered that you didn't write JEE or BITSAT or that you didn't do well. I started my prep about ten days before the exam. I had never performed well in JEE mock tests, so I had never prepared from JEE perspective. I realised at that moment VIT was the best college I could get into and decided to put effort. Full Effort. I bought that Arihant mock test book. I recommend you to solve more of the precise year papers, as the mock tests are really basic. Keep A notebook of formulas handy, and repeatedly revise from that. Knowing that I did good on boards, I covered the 12th portion thoroughly and revised 11th lightly. Howevee, I recommend you to study Conic Sections and Laws of Motion as they asked unexpectedly lot of questions from these. Attempt the test in the order:
English
Chemistry
Physics
Maths.

VITEEE is basically based on the standard 12th syllabus. So to ace your performance in the exam know your NCERTs well. That should be enough! Just practice lots of MCQ questions. That'll boost both your speed and confidence. To score well in VITEEE all you have to do is to prepare the same kind that you do for JEE exams. It's actually a similar kind. So if you prepare similarly to JEE then it will be easier to score well in VITEEE. The exam has no negative marking so make sure you attempt all the questions. Also, go through previous years' papers. All the Best!

For day students, life at VIT is simply great, but for residents, it is far more enjoyable, and they get to observe nearly every aspect of how VIT operates. You have unrestricted access to campus as a day scholar and can enter and exit at any time. But the following strange rules are in effect at the VIT campuses in Vellore and Chennai, specifically for hostel guests:
1) After 9:00 pm, you are not permitted to wander the campus.
2) Birthdays cannot be celebrated at a hostel. Birthday celebrations outside the hostel but in front of the staff are permitted during a set period of time specified by the hostel administration.
3. You must always carry your ID card with you if you wish to do anything on campus.
4) You must enter the college GATE by 6:00 pm; else, you won't be allowed to enter.
5)To leave the college on the weekend, you must fill out a form. Weekends are off-limits to girls for socialising.
6) You must maintain a minimum attendance rate of 75%.
7) Given that courses begin at 8 in the morning and last until 7:20 in the evening, with a 40-minute break in between, I would assume that this is a school.
