The eligibility criteria of NRI students for B.Tech courses of VIT is given below.
FOR NRI CANDIDATES :
1. English as one of the subjects in the qualifying Examination.
2. For admission to B.Tech courses, candidates should have completed 12 years of schooling (equivalent to the 10+2 system of Indian Education) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology or Biotechnology as compulsory subjects.
3. Minimum average of 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) or Biology or Biotechnology (PCB) in standard XII or Equivalent Degree -Usually it is Grade C, to be produced with equivalent marks.
4. In case if they have studied Physical science with a combination of Physics and Chemistry as subjects in the qualifying examination, they should produce the certificate of approval from the school to that effect and also proper approval from AIU / Board of Studies.
5. Candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible for all the B.Tech. Degree programmes.
6. Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 1998 are eligible to apply.
Admission criteria : NRI/Foreign candidates can apply directly through NRI category for admission to B.Tech. Degree programme. VITEEE is not mandatory for Direct Admission and No application cost. Refer the website for the link: https://admissions.vit.ac.in/ugirapplication
The fee structure for Group-A courses is about USD 10100 per year+Hostel charges.

Eligibility criteria: A minimum of 60% mark of First class is required in undergraduate degree from a recognised University or Institution. A Bachelors degree should be of minimum of three years duration after completion of higher secondary education (10+2) or equivalent. The candidate should have studied in regular full-time programmes. The candidate should have taken any one of the tests- CAT/XAT/MAT/NMAT/GMAT/CMAT/ATMA and the scores should be made available to the admissions office before the last date of application. Selection process : Selection of candidates is based on the Written Assessment Test (What), Personal Interview (PI) and CAT / XAT / MAT/ NMAT/ GMAT/CMAT/ATMA Score. Admission in VIT is only depends upon your vit entrance exam only while sastra's admission is depend upon JEE Mains and board score for your marks getting CSE is difficult but try in couselling.

Hello Animesh, I think getting CSE in VIT Vellore with your rank is a little bit difficult. However, you may get if you wait and try till last counselling. CSE in other VIT Branches is quite good. Good Luck !
