Yes, there is no doubt that VIT is more preferred over Vellore, as it is their main campus. They actually have an advantage that Bengaluru is the largest Technological hub of India, so they have a great location advantage, and they have a very good faculty base, as I was told by a relative of mine who studied there. So, I would recommend to go for VIT-Vellore.

VIT B.Arch Admission 2018 will be done on the basis of the NATA exam. The architecture course would be of 5 years at Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore Campus only. National Aptitude Test in Architecture NATA is a national level examination to select the candidates for admission to the B.Arch programme in top institutes in India. Application form for VIT B.Arch Admission 2018 is expected to make available online from the second week of April 2018. The candidates who get good marks in NATA will be shortlisted for Interview and would be called for the group discussion which may hold at the end of June 2018 only at VIT campus.Eligibility Criteria:

Well, you missed the exam, you don't have good marks in JEE and then, you don't even want to pay much.
All three cannot go together. I don't know exactly as to how much you'll have to pay for the branch that you desire. But, I am sure that you will have to pay significant amount, with the highest for CSE & Mechanical, followed by ECE, then EEE,IT and Civil.

VIT Business School (VITBS) was established initially as Department of Management Studies of VIT University. It offers two year MBA & MBA IB, whereas MBA-IB is available only at VIT Vellore campus. After completion of one year in Vellore VIT, Students have to spend second year of the course in University of Michigan-Dearborn or University of Massachusetts Boston. After completion the programme student will be awarded with MBA degree from both VIT & US Universities. Students who have qualified in CAT 2017/MAT 2017/XAT 2017 or GMAT 2017 are eligible for direct admission to VITBS without going through the written test conducted by VIT. Students will be directly called for group discussion & interview, if required by VIT authorities.
