It is one of the campuses of VIT University that was started after VIT-Vellore campus. It is also good and now it has improved its standards. It is now almost equivalent to the Vellore campus.

VIT University does not offer lateral entry admissions. The admissions are based on the ranks in the VITEEE examination. I think SRM University has lateral entry admissions. So, you may refer their website www.srmuniv.ac.in
