You don't really need any skills before joining a Chemical Engineering course. The curriculum will teach all the basics required in the field. Also, internships, projects, seminars, etc., will help you gain practical skills.

But having some capabilities beforehand will be plus and help you succeed faster.

  • Strong technical knowledge
  • Chemistry, Physics, and Maths proficiency
  • Data analysis
  • Critical thinking

It depends. If you want a quick way to enter the industry, a BTech is a great option. BTech graduates are valued in every industry with decent starting packages.

An M.Tech is apt for only those who are more into research-based roles, or maybe planning to pursue a PhD, or want to become a professor.

There are so many reasons why. Some of them are

  • When industrial production and manufacturing happen, Chemical Engineers design and operate the process, making sure of efficiency and safety.
  • They ensure the sustainability and environmental protection by reducing industrial emissions, water treatment, etc.
  • They work on developing renewable energy, like solar cells and batteries, while refining traditional energy sources.

Chemical Engineering means combining Physics, Chemistry, and Biology to turn raw materials into valuable products. Chemical Engineers produce fuels, food, pharmaceuticals, and biologicals.

They design and operate these processes, implement their lab experiments to full-scale production, optimize the efficiency of products, etc.

In terms of Academics, Chemical Engineering at LPU covers the usual core subjects like thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, mass transfer, reaction engineering, and process control. The curriculum follows the standard engineering structure. Learning quality depends a lot on how seriously you take labs, projects, and internships.

Talking about the Lab&Infrastructure,  there are dedicated chemical engineering labs and pilot-scale equipment for practical exposure. Facilities are decent for a private university, but hands-on learning depends on student involvement.

Lastly about the Placements, Core chemical engineer
