No, a candidate cannot fill FTII JET application form offline. The Film and Television Institute of India releases JET registration form in online mode and candidates have to fill and submit the same in online form only. No offline application form will be accepted by FTII for entrance exam.

FTII JET application window is not yet open. Once Film and Television Institute of India announces the registration details in its admission prospectus, candidates will be able to know the last date to apply for FTII JET.
FTII JET 2026 registration window is expected to open in the third week of June 2026.

Film and Television Institute of India announces the reservation criteria for admission based on FTII JET scores in its offcial prospectus. Check below to know category-wise reservation criteria for FTII JET exam.

Film and Television Insititute of India has not yet announced the release date for FTII JET application form 2026. However, based on past year trend, FTII JET 2026 online form is expected to be released in the third week of June 2026 at official website.

It is possible to crack Stage 1 of FTII JET exam through self-study as it is a written exam. However, cracking FTII JET stage 2 exam with self-study is not possible. The stage 2 exam includes practical assessment of a candidate through screenacting and screenwriting. For these exams, it is advised that a candidate take help and guidance from teacher, guide, peer, seniors, coaching institute, etc.

FTII JET is conducted for admission to various courses in Film and TV wing. The difficulty level of FTII JET is moderate as compared to other government entrance exams for admission to mass communication and media courses. However, the difficulty level for a candidate differs based on their preparation level.

There is no ideal time for candidates to prepare for FTII JET exam. As there are two stages in exam which are conducted in different months and have different criteria, their required preparation time are different.
For stage 1, students must start preparing for written test, at least 6 months before D-day. As Stage 2 is practical exam, there is no time limit for its preparation.
