There is no ideal time for candidates to prepare for FTII JET exam. As there are two stages in exam which are conducted in different months and have different criteria, their required preparation time are different.
For stage 1, students must start preparing for written test, at least 6 months before D-day. As Stage 2 is practical exam, there is no time limit for its preparation.

First of all don't let other students preparation pace affect you. Focus on your preparation, take help from your mentors, alumni, and industry professionals. Stay calm and focused on your FTII JET preparation based on the target course.
