As per the official notification, candidates seeking admission into FTII, Pune and SRFTI, Kolkata will have to go through the following process.

  1. FTII JET entrance exam - It includes two stages - Stage 1 & Stage 2. Stage 1 further includes two paper - I & II. Stage 1 is written test and Stage 2 is interview round.
  2. FTII JET Result - FTII will release list of selected candidates.
  3. Seat Acceptance - Selected candidates have to pay seat acceptance fee to secure a seat.
  4. Document Verification - Eligible candidates have to get their documents verified by campus.
  5. Medical Test - Selected students will have to undergo medical test for final selection.

Freeze option means that candidate accepts the offered seat and don't want to participate in further rounds of seat allocation.

Float option means that candidate accepts the offered seat but if they are offered admission to a course of higher preference in same or other Institute, they will accept it. Else, the candidate will continue with currently accepted FTII course.

As per admission process of FTII JET entrance exam, candidates who wish to get admission at this institute have to appear for 2 stages. Students who are selected in first stage can take Stage 2 exam. After both stages are over, selected candidates are called for further admission process, including interview, counselling and medical test. Candidates who will pass in all stages will be able to secure a seat at FTII.
