As per the official notification, candidates seeking admission into FTII, Pune and SRFTI, Kolkata will have to go through the following process:
Step 1: JET Entrance Exam
The first step is the FTII JET exam for which candidates will have to appear in it after receiving their admit cards and qualify it. The written test will be conducted for 2 papers and the time duration will be of three hours. The test will be conducted in offline (pen and paper test) mode. The question paper will be into two parts – MCQ (multiple-choice questions) and Descriptive.

Freeze option means that candidate accepts the offered seat and don't want to participate in further rounds of seat allocation.
Float option means that candidate accepts the offered seat but if they are offered admission to a course of higher preference in same or other Institute, they will accept it. Else, the candidate will continue with currently accepted FTII course.

As per the admission process of JET exam, candidates first need to quaify in teh FTII JETe exam and subsequent rounds of the Orientation / Interview process. On the basis of performance in JET, the list of candidates shortlisted for the next level of selection will be made available on the website of the Institute. The institute will send interview letters to the shortlisted candidates directly. Students final selection will be based on their JET scores, and performance in the orientation & interviews rounds.
