Whether you can pursue a diploma in interior design through correspondence depends on the institute offering it. The program described on the L.S. Raheja School of Architecture (LSRSA) website — “Government Diploma in Interior Designing & Decoration” — appears to be a formal diploma course. However, there's no explicit mention on the page that it's offered via correspondence or distance learning rather than on-campus.

If the institute does not state “correspondence” or “distance mode,” it likely requires in-person attendance because interior design training often involves hands-on studio work, practical workshops, and si

Yes — interior design can be pursued as a degree course. For example, the program offered at L.S. Raheja School of Architecture (LSRSA) is a bachelor-level degree.

This type of degree course covers both theoretical knowledge and practical training: students learn about design principles, space planning, materials, lighting, ergonomics, drafting and use of design software. The curriculum also often includes workshops, real-world projects and portfolio development — preparing graduates to work professionally as interior designers, decorators, or design consultants.

TDV is decent for Interior Design if you like exploring ideas and working independently. The faculty is helpful but expects you to take initiative. Studio culture is relaxed, and you get freedom in projects. It's more concept-based than technical, so it depends on your style. You'll learn a lot, but you need to stay self-motivated.

Hi.

Yes AAFT teach software like AUTOCAD, 3Ds Max or Sketchup in its interior design course.

SketchUp and AutoCad are two popular software for designers, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. Interior designers prefer SketchUp for its user-friendly interface, quick 3D modeling, photorealistic rendering extensions, and integration with LayOut, making it an excellent choice for creating detailed plans.
