The scope of aeronautical engineering in India, at least, in the core area is rather limited. However, openings in Air Force, ISRO and DRDO definitely come up every year but the numbers are limited. Majority of the students take up post graduation abroad or utilize this graduation for doing MBA or something different.

I am afraid one can not legally work on an aircraft as maintenance engineer without license from DGCA. But all the institutes offering AME enable students to take on this license exam.

From this year onwards, TN will offer admissions based on marks obtained in class 12th. Hence data of previous years is of no use. You, therefore, need to register yourself with admission procedure of Anna University and hope for the best.

I am really thrilled with your dreams. Yes, we must dream big. Only big & wild dreamers were able to change the world. Firstly study well. Study not for getting marks but for understanding concepts. Then seek admission in IIT Mumbai's aeronautical branch that is considered best. Here too emphasise on learning and not merely getting good grades.
