GITAM-Visakhapatnam had a good reputation as compared with Hyderabad but now both are on the same footing. I suggest you should get admission in any of the campuses.

The fee structure has not be disclosed by the Institute for Aircraft Maintenance Engineering in Mechanical (Aeroplane). It is advisable to get in touch with the college officials. Please refer the institute website link:

Actually, there are enough colleges in Maharashtra offering this branch but the majority of these are out of the ambit of MHTCET. This may be so since the local colleges would have found it tough to give placements and as a result less students and finally scrapping of branch. Even last year, almost 50K seats could not be filled up. So I feel if one has a valid score in MHTCET, engineering seat will be available.

The cut-offs for different branches vary from 17K to 70K in this college with aeronautical engineering having the lowest cut-off. After your Diploma in aeronautical engineering, you can go for B.Tech lateral entry in any of the streams among CSE, Mechanical, electrical, Civil, Aerospace, Biotechnology, Food Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Information Technology, Chemical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Electronics and Computer Engineering or any other. It will be of 3 years rather than normal B.Tech which is of 4 years. It means you can straightway enrol into the 2nd year of your Bachelor's degree. The record of this college in placements is reasonably good. But the situation changes every year and is dependent on the industrial situation. So, do not worry too much about this aspect.
