Aerospace Engineering Eligibility

Hindustan University conducts this entrance test for admission to engineering branches. There are many variables which will determine the cutoffs in this examination for getting admission. These are: the number of students who appear, the difficulty level of the examination, difficulty level of different examinations conducted by different institutions and admissions of the students in respect of those. Hence, it is difficult to say what the cutoff will be as for the marks are concerned but different sources indicate that if you can get a percentile of 60 and about your chances of getting desired branch are very bright. University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun offers B.Tech in Aerospace engineering. The eligibility criteria for the same is as under:
1. Minimum 60% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th) and Minimum 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at Senior Secondary level (12th)+ UPES Engineering Aptitude Test UPES-EAT Online Test. The last date to apply for UPES-EAT is 25 April-2019.
2. Only candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 1, 1997, are eligible to apply for admission. Apart from this B.Tech admissions are also done on the basis of JEE Main score, The eligibility criteria through JEE Main is as under :
Admissions through JEE - Minimum 60% marks in class 10th, 60% marks in class 12th and also have an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Maths (PCM) in class 12th +JEE-Mains rank.

Yes, you are eligible. The minimum qualification for admission to this field is BE or B.Tech with at least 50% (60% for IITs) marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA from a recognised university and a minimum of 60% in class 10 and 10+2. The preferred undergraduate courses, for admission to M.Tech aerospace Engineering are B.Tech/B.E. in Aerospace/ Aeronautical/ Avionics/ CSE/ ECE/ Mech/ EEE/ EIE. The admission process for the course is varied as various institutes have their very own criteria and process of admission.
The admission to this course in any of the IIT is through the candidate's performance in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). Each candidate seeking admission to M.Tech aerospace Engineering is supposed to take the GATE and on the performance in the test and academic record, the candidate is given admission. Other institutes like, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad also holds an entrance test for the admission of candidates to this course.

Maintenance of Aircraft - Aerospace Engineers test new aerodynamic and aviation systems and maintain them.
Aircraft Designer - Aerospace Engineers specializing in this field deal with designing, constructing, and testing aircraft, missiles, and spacecrafts. They may conduct basic and applied research to evaluate adaptability of materials and equipment to aircraft design and manufacture.Aviation Engineer- Aerospace engineers in this field deal with the airport design, aircraft navigation technologies and aerodrome planning.
Defence - Aeronautical engineers in this field deal with creation, maintenance and deployment of defence aircrafts such as fighter jets, choppers, bombers, etc.Also, the job requires being able to handle such aircraft at necessary times.
Where all can I work? As everyone here mentioned right, you can work in government sector with ISRO, DRDO, HAL, etc. And then we can look at private companies such as L & T, Godrej and Boyce aerospace, Boeing, Airbus, Mahindra, etc. You can also go for Indian air force and Indian Navy.
