Hi, The eligibility is as following:
Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or Intermediate (with English, Physics, Chemistry & either Maths or Biology or Forestry) or 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) or 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent subject to valid score in LPU NEST (Agriculture). So, with 55% you may not be eligible. But LPU floats following relaxation in eligibility:
1. 5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants)
2. 10% relaxation to outstanding Sports Persons (I. e. A/A+ category as per Sports Scholarship), Subject to verificat

Hello Yuvana. Almost 90 students have joined by enrolling themselves for Agricultural Engineering in Saveetha Engineering College. College provides this department with a lot of graduated and experienced staff for the respective department and the experimental approach is also being provided. So you can get aware of the solution practically and your doubts can get cleared with the staff within a short span of time.

That depends on your interest and aptitude. Both the fields are good and have their own benefits and strengths. Agriculture is more mainstream programme which has a large number of opportunities but it also has large number of candidates. Microbiology no doubt has a good number of jobs but lesser in number compared to agriculture, being a niche programme but then, the number of candidates is also far less. If you want a good career in any of the streams you must join LPU for your studies. Hope this helps.
